GATEWAY THEATRE COMPANY
AUDITIONS:
THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG
DIRECTED BY
BRUCE L TOWELL
ASSISTANT DIRECTION BY
AMY KOTTKE
SEPTEMBER 4th and 5th
6pm to 9pm
IN THE KEWASKUM THEATRE
Sponsored by
KEWASKUM AREA ARTS COUNCIL
The play is a raucous comedy. Involving a lot of physical humor including stage rolls, falls and stumbles. Actors will be running into walls; door frames and all of this action will be choreographed to ensure safety of the cast.
Auditioners may prepare a one to two minute dramatic or comedic monolog of your choice. But it is not necessary to be considered for the cast.
We will do cold readings from the script. We will ask auditioners that are physically able to perform a staged tuck and roll, a stumble and crash into a wall. If you are unable to do this or feel uncomfortable doing this in an audition, we understand. And this will not prevent you from being cast. But it may limit our ability to cast you for some of the principal characters.
An audition contact form will be filled out at auditions or may be downloaded here and filled out and brought with you to auditions.
Those Chosen for our cast will receive notice via phone,
Saturday Sept 6th. 5pm
Read through on Monday Sept. 8th 6pm at the Theatre is Mandatory.
We will also post the cast list on this website As soon as possible.
2025 Calendar Schedule is for all events associated with KAAC.

It is the Council's hope to encourage participation in these programs, and to meet the needs and aspirations of persons in all parts of the surrounding area.
The Council is also actively supporting arts studies and programs in local schools by presenting future programs as needed and when they become available.
